The Guvnor
The Guvnor breaks his duck at Downpatrick
In only his second forecast, our new resident tipster, the Guvnor, has decisively broken his duck at today's meeting in Downpatrick.
In his 'Try These Three' selection, the Guvnor had tipped the Eddie O'Grady trained Lou's Coole Girl to win. The horse duly obliged, posting a 5/2 Favourite Starting Price.
In the 2.10, the hotly fancied Cru from the inform Willie Mullins yard came off second - by a length and a half - to Tilly Ann. And in the 1.05, Goban Saor was a disappointing fourth, a long way behind the winning Favourite, Awkward Moment from the Michael Hourigan stable.
A €10 winning bet on of the Guvnor's selections today returned a net profit of €5. On his six forecasts, so far, the Guvnor is showing a net loss of €25. However, we expect him to continue his winning way at Navan tomorrow.
Out of six so far:
1 Win, 1 Place, 4 Unplaced
