Galway take the 34th Kilmacud Crokes 7's title.
GALWAY showed very clearly that camogie is alive and well in the county by the fact that three clubs reached the Division 1 semi-finals of the 34th Annual Kilmacud Crokes 7's which saw Athenry of Galway defeat fellow home side Kilimor 7-7 to 5-2 in a most exciting Division 1 Final in Páirc de Búrca,Kilmacud.

The Shield Final was won by first time finalists Gaultier of Waterford 6-2 to 4-0 for Derry side Lavey. There was some consolation for Kilimor when Galway senior star Brenda Hanney won the player of the match while the Poc Fada award went to Lyndsey Condell of the Naomh Brid Club in Carlow who earlier won the National Poc Fada competition in the Cooley Mountains.

Semi-finals,
Div 1: Athenry, Galway 4-9, St.Catherine's Cork 2-5, Kilimor, Galway 10-13, Kinvara, Galway 8-9 (aft ext)

Div 2: Lavey, Derry 5-5, Myshall, Carlow 3-4 (aft ext), Gaultier,Waterford 5-6, Ballymacnab, Armagh 2-5.

Div 1 Final:
Athenry: 7-7: J Gill 4-1, T Maher 2-3,N Coen 1-1,L Linnane, S Donohoe 0-1 each
Kilimor: 5-2: B Hanney 3-1, M Conroy 2-0, S Keane 0-1

Div 2 Final:
Gaultier : 6-2: Á Lyng 4-1, T Jackman 2-1 (0-1f),
Lavey: 4-0: A Mc Peake, C Mc Cloy, H O'Neill, M O'Kane 1-0 each.
