Guinness hologram features Dan and Deane
Hurling comes alive inside Stephen's Green Shoppping Centre

Guinness have launched a highly innovative hurling hologram, featuring legendary hurling duo, Waterford's Dan Shanahan and Cork's Joe Deane. Waterford and Cork may no longer be competing in the Guinness All-Ireland Hurling Championship, but that won't stop Dan and Joe hurling!

The intensity and spirit of the game that is evident whenever Cork and Waterford meet will now come alive inside the main entrance to St.Stephen's Green Shopping Centre, each night from next Sunday 19th August Sunday. The hologram, which is created by using state of the art technology that has never before been seen in Ireland, will be on view for two weeks in the lead up to the All-Ireland Hurling final on Sunday, 2nd September.

Dan and Joe have excited hurling fans all over the country with their exploits on the field of play during this year's Guinness Hurling Championship. Now, fans can see them in a totally new light – playing virtual hurling inside the Stephen's Green shopping centre!

Speaking about the hologram, Dan Shanahan commented, "I didn't really know what to expect and it is quite surreal seeing a hologram of myself, but the technology is really cool and we had good fun filming the sequence. It is definitely the first time I've had a puck around Grafton Street that's for sure!"

Pamela Selby from Guinness said, "The Guinness All-Ireland Hurling Championship always provides fans with great entertainment and excitement.

We always like to showcase the unique skills of the game and the vibrant nature of hurling. The technology behind the hologram certainly allows us to do just that. Not only does it bring this year's campaign to life, but it is sure to attract a lot of attention from passers by".
