Bank of Ireland launches 'Extraordinary Fifteen' competition
€15,000 and a VIP trip to the All-Ireland Final up for grabs

Bank of Ireland has significantly added to the intensity of the football championship as it launches an exciting new nationwide competition.

Inviting the public to choose their most extraordinary football 'dream team' of the last 15 years, the 'Extraordinary Fifteen' competition is set to create debate up and down the country as self acclaimed pundits compete for the prize of €15,000 and a VIP trip to the Bank of Ireland Football Championship All-Ireland Final on the 16th September 2007.

The competition will run in The Irish Independent and on local radio stations across Ireland. The Irish Independent GAA correspondents will create a dream team of players over the last 15 years. Readers and listeners will then be asked to create their very own dream team and if it matches the pundits' team they could win the fantastic prize. A panel of well-known GAA personalities will also debate who they believe are the "Bank of Ireland Top Fifteen".

To further celebrate Bank of Ireland's 15 year association with the Football Championship, Bank of Ireland have also launched the Extraordinary 3-Year Deposit Bond giving a rate of 15% over 3 years (4.8% E.A.R.) on amounts between €3,000 and €250,000.

Speaking about the competition, Laura Lynch, Brand and Sponsorships Manager, Bank of Ireland, said, "This is a really exciting competition and with €15,000 up for grabs, it will definitely cause some heated debate across the country! We have had a very successful partnership with the Football Championship over the past 15 years and we wanted to celebrate our involvement with a competition that recognises that."

Entry forms will appear from the 13th to the 27th August 2007 with information also being distributed to GAA clubs across the country. The closing date for the competition is the 31st August 2007.

The competition has been launched to celebrate the 15 years of Bank of Ireland's involvement of the Football Championship - one of the biggest sponsorships in Ireland. This year Bank of Ireland supports the Championship with another 'extraordinary' campaign that reflects the passion and dedication that both players and fans bring to the game. The commitment and devotion expressed each year by players and fans alike illustrate the extraordinary place that Gaelic Football has in Irish society.

For further details about the Bank of Ireland 'Top Fifteen' competition, purchase a copy of the Irish Independent from Monday 13th August or call into your local Bank of Ireland branch for information.
